The historic 1800s Cove Fort site is believed to be haunted by several ghosts, including spirits of folks who formerly lived here, fought in battles here, died of disease here, or are attached to some of the relics in the museum.

  1. We have now lived just west of Cove Fort (1.5 miles) for 20 years. There have been lots of ghostly experiences. Knocks on walls and doors at night. Voices calling. Items moved around the house. Items missing for years which suddenly show up in plain sight etc. Treasure hunters and sabotage. There is an old Spanish site 1 mile south of our property which has been written about. It is a possible ambush site.
