One visitor was snapping photos (in room 8); a clear shadow manifested in one of these photos. The photographer theorized that it might have been the ghost Henry Comstock who killed himself and chose to return to this location.

I stayed in room 2 several years ago while I was doing a paranormal investigation in Virginia City. After investigating a Welsh miners cemetery near Gold Hill, I tried to go to sleep but was awoken by something growling in my left ear. Problem was, there was nothing next to me except for a indentation on the pillow like someone was lying there. This happened in August, and for those of you who know Nevada, you know how hot it gets in the late summer. The room was warm and stuffy, but the area around the pillow was ice cold. FIrst time in my life a ghost has ever scared me.
