This historic building now houses the county athletic club, but was formerly a schoolhouse. During its history, a cruel schoolmistress punished a girl to the extent that she died, leading to the closure of the school and the basis of the haunting that occurs nowadays. People in the quiet library area of the club have reported hearing the cracking of a whip, as well as the mournful cries and sobs of a young child.

This is crazy seeing this post because for years I thought I was crazy and still to this DAY remember what I’m about to explain…
I was driving down East Washington Street heading towards Chagrin Falls. Just as I passed Snyder Road (CVAC on the left) a woman appeared at the end of the woods line by CVAC. She was dressed in a black “puffy dress” and had a white bonnet on her head. I immediately had chills down my spine. My sister was in the car with me. When I looked in my rear view mirror she was gone. With my eyes wide open i looked at my sister and asked her if she just saw what i just saw.
She said yes with the same look and I gunned the gas peddle as fast as I could to get past that spot.
