We were walking in the archives room and a lady’s voice said hello twice. And it freaked us out, we almost cried and left. We thought it was animated, but now that we just read that it’s haunted by a lady, and she haunts that room and the basement… We now know.. It was real!
This was not formerly a Gothic mansion. It was formerly a post office. I am sure of that. I live in Saginaw and just visited it today.
You are correct, it was the post office. I visited it last fall with my Michigan history class for college. I don’t remember them stating it was ever a mansion. I do believe it was also the court house at one time.
Both of you know nothing of saginaw history sadly . Never was it a court house !
My mom used to work at the Castle Museum in the late 1980’s. She told me she had really creepy experiences when she was alone at night and had to go down to the basement for things. She told me she had seen shadow figures and the lights went out on her twice. After that she never went down to the basement alone. She also did not stay there long after that and started working at Neucheterlein’s Jewelry in Old Town Saginaw. She never heard of any strange experiences there and she worked there from 1988-2000.
