The ghost of a labourer may haunt the building, as well as the apparition of a young woman who fell to her death. She often appears in guests rooms, or moves around luggage. Wails and screaming have also been reported in various parts of the building.

  1. I worked there for a while and the whole 4th floor is a very creepy place. The corridors are always hazy or smoky – even considering that most of the “smoking” rooms are located on that floor, there’s no real explanation for the thickness of the air. Room 444 specifically had a reputation with the staff for being haunted. The housekeepers wouldn’t clean it alone since they reported lots of creepy stuff happening – lights flickering, radio turning on and off by itself (and playing music that was not on the station it was tuned to anyway), vacuums constantly coming unplugged, whispered voices and a man spotted walking into the bathroom then disappearing. We often got noise complaints from the residents of that room always claiming to hear “big band music” in the middle of the night. They usually said it sounded like it was coming from upstairs – but the 4th floor is the top floor.
