The Cannington Manor Provincial Park historic site is a Victorian village that was settled by the British over a century ago. Now it offers fox hunts, croquet, cricket and more themed activities along with period demonstrations and costumed staff. Some say one of the mansions is haunted by the woman who originally lived in the house. Museum staff were puzzled when schoolchildren here on field trips have said a woman in period clothing told them they couldn’t enter one of the houses, and the piano has been known to play by itself there as well. Also said to be haunted is the graveyard, where mysterious figures and lights have been seen.
