This beautiful cottage houses the town historical society, and is well known for the ghost that reputedly haunts the old building. Although the identity of the apparition is currently unclear, witnesses describe a man dressed in black with white hair who wanders the hallways scaring visitors to the museum. Other activity commonly reported includes doors opening and closing of their own accord, disembodied footsteps and pictures which are flung off walls by an unseen presence. The most frightening event that frequently occurs is attributed to a shadowy figure who has been seen on the back stairs of the building. On certain nights, all the lights will turn on by themselves and a shadowy figure can be standing there staring down into the street.
