Completed in 1904, the grand Brown Mansion is said to be haunted. Although the staff complain to have no evidence of the haunting, local tales tell that when the building spent several years vacant, with the power turned off, glowing green lights could be seen coming from the mansion grounds.

Used to host investigations for the mansion. I’ve experienced everything from shadows to voices to having a team member thrown down in front of guests. The Brown Mansion never disappoints.
I went on a tour of the Brown Mansion when my daughter was 5. It was only myself, my daughter and the tour guide, a wonderful lady in her 80’s. As we were walking away from being shown the elevator, my daughter said “who is he.” When we asked who, she replied “a little black boy.” When were going down the hall in the basement she grabbed my hand and said “he just ran in there Mama.” It was into the bowling alley. The guide and I never saw a thing, but I am sure my daughter did.
When I was about 8, I was on the tour, and when we visited the gardens in the back of the house. As a kid I used to love balancing so I would walk on the cement surrounding the flower beds, but since this garden was on a steep piece of land. The flower beds were sectioned and they were fairly high, but as i was walking someone pushed me off…..when i looked around to see who had pushed me there was no one there. I called over to my aunt who had taken us there, and asked for help. I ended up going to the hospital, because of the rock that had gotten stuck in my knee and they had to surgically remove it. I have not gone back to that place ever since because i simply don’t want to get hurt again…….
When I was 12 I was hanging up clothes in my house and I moved a hanger and something or someone yelled “HEY” at me and then I heard my dads voice downstairs but he was still at work and then I heard the stairs creak three times then I heard nothing.
