  1. I know the owners of bochym manor. I have a photo of their gardens during a bit of snow in 2018 :). There is a ghost of a little boy and an older man who are also known here. I remember walking up their grand staircase and looking into one of the attic rooms and seeing something move just below one of the beams. I went in to look and nothing was there and there’s no way it could’ve been an animal of any sort. Both myself and my friend saw this.

  2. I stayed at Bochym manor for two nights back in the 1980’s. At the time there were only two or three rooms available for B&B. I had no idea that there was a history of hauntings at the house. I hardly had a good nights sleep. I was so disturbed I had the light on all night. When I left on the second morning, I mentioned about being aware of a presence, the reply was ‘ ah you were in the pink room, thats haunted’ . That said staying there was a lovely experience, lovely building. I hope that it has now been restored after being partially destroyed by Dr whatever his name was!! I would love to go back and look around. A magnificent building and grounds

  3. My wife and I stayed in the cottage (Swifts Cottage?) for our honeymoon in 1987. We did not sleep a wink and for all the wrong reasons!
Noises in the loft, clattering coming from the inglenook in the kitchen and a ghostly white peacock that would screech ‘help’ at the front door.
The clock tower had no hands and was surrounded by a ridiculous amount of crows. The whole place had a ghostly aura and continually misty.
20 years later, we decided to visit and upon driving up to the main gatehouse, our dog ( who was fast asleep) jumped up and started barking like a demon dog! A lady came out and suggested we leave, as ‘The Major’ didn’t like visitors. We didnt need to be asked twice.

  4. I am the electrician who rewired Bochym Manor house in the early to mid1970,s
I was there for 26 weeks. during which time I truly found all the nooks and cranies as would normally be the case rewiring such an old Manor house. I even found the long forgotten “priest hole”.
When I first began the rewire I was an sollidly staunch sceptic none believer in all things of a ghostly nature or imagination.
But I was very quickly rethinking my beliefs. And by the time my work was completed, my scepticism had taken a good shaking.
All these years later I still can’t return my beliefs to my pre Bochym stoicism, and sceptical stance.
My experiences during those 26 weeks were very frightening at first, but less so as the weeks passed.
Such a lovely old building and grounds with so much history.
