The Bissman Building, once a grocery warehouse built in 1886, is said to be very haunted; ghost hunts and tours are offered here. Many apparitions are seen here, including a man in a long coat and top hat and a young girl; footsteps have been heard on empty floors above, and witnesses also describe black masses, touching, voices and cold spots. Investigators have turned up many EVPs including the word Annabella, believed to be the spirit of building owner Ben Bissman’s great grandmother. The building was used as a setting for music videos and films such as “The Shawshank Redemption,” “The Rage” and “The Dead Matter.”
