Big Four Train Depot

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Big Four Train Depot

This historic depot is heritage-listed, and also believed by many to be one of the towns most haunted buildings. The old train depot has played host to many tragedies and notable events in the town history, so it is easy to see where the basis of these rumours lie. The first of the two apparition commonly reported is a silent man in a trenchcoat, and the second is a demonic entity. Much of the paranormal activity is centred around the coffin room on the second floor, while other visitors have reported the building shaking as if a train is heading past, even though there are no scheduled services.

  1. Spent hours in that depot in the early 1970s from third floor to the lower basement area under the main lobby never saw or heard a thing , but had great fun as I was hooked on the history of the rail even as a young boy !!!!
