Built in 1838, this mansion-turned-inn is a spot rich with mysterious happenings. Some say the ghost of Sarah Anderson, the original owner’s wife, has appeared to them. She has been seen in the second-floor hallways, in the elevators, in the laundry room, and near the front door. Folks say the building’s long history may have sparked the activity: Before becoming an inn, the private home was also a boarding house and a bordello. And since it’s built almost directly over a former cemetery, perhaps it’s not surprising that Sarah wants to keep an eye on things.

Yes. This place is haunted. We were sleeping in the Mary Musgrove room and I felt some kind of slap in my face, later something heavy pushing me… scary. Share with my husband and, to my amaze, he had the slap in his face too.
