After a motorcyclist died near this patch of road in the 1920’s it is said that he will sometimes prevent accidents from occurring by taking control of the car or motorcycle (usually, the driver will see his pair of hands steering). There is also a belief that the hands are actually demonic and will sometimes claw at windows of parked cars.
