Built in 1905, the employees of this library have heard strange noises including knocking, whistling, whispering, dragging sounds, and even the sounds of the toys in the children’s area moving by themselves after closing. The employees have also mentioned seeing figures watching them or shadows darting around. They have said that activity increases if there are people be they employees or not, there after closing time

  1. I have worked here for 2 years, and have definitely had my fair share of spooks and scares. The kind of scares where you try and act not scared so whatever is watching you doesn’t know. I have felt presences follow me around, heard things, and some days I pull in to the lot and can almost feel a presence. Foreboding and I could just tell it was going to be a rough one. I just put my earbuds in and do my job and get out.

  2. I live in Attica and I am an empath, When I go in to this Library I offten do feel strange in there, But I thought it was because I don’t like being around alot of people so I need to go in and check this out.

  3. My adopted mother used to be a children’s librarian there ! Majority of my childhood was in that Library! I was there before it got added on too! It always had a basement and a attic that gave me the chills same as the basement!! The old basement was always scary and we used to hold puppet shows down there! It always felt like someone or something was watching you!! Many times my mother sent me and my sister down there and it always gave us chills my sister would play hide and seek with me down there and I can’t tell you how many times we both ended up getting scared because something spooked us! My mother kept me and my sister in charge of making Shure the childrens toys were in order every morning we would get there before it opened and my job was to clean up children’s area every morning something was moved out of place hidden it never failed toys came up missing then next day it was like they showed up again! When they added on to building they worked on basement too and it seemed it made it get even more scary after that! Many times my name was called nobody was there! Hurd strange noises all the time if we had to stay after and close up or get there to open up! Definitely is haunted and has history to it never forget that place and how I got spooked many times!!
