Arcadia Mill is an historical park open to the public, based around the largest 19th century water-powered industrial mill in the area. There is a museum and elevated boardwalk that allows guests to wander through the archaeological remains of the mill.
One of the caretakers believes the museum is haunted by at least two spirits. He regularly hears voices and footsteps – some of the footsteps are so pronounced that you can actually feel the vibrations coming through the floor.

We spend at lot of time at Arcadia Mills and never heard or seen anything there.
Me and some friends decided to go to Arcadia to pass some time upon arriving no one else’s car was present we enfing up Sitting on the bridge that goes across the creek we heard footsteps coming from a path footsteps not made by and animal as we heard them come close to were if it was a living they would have clearly been visible by then but no one was to be seen even after calling out we received no response only footsteps going away from us
I believe the old mill burnt down. Im not too sure about that, but i know i smell burning meat sometimes when i go there. Very distinctly actually. It smells like someone threw a carcass on a fire in an area down in the bottoms by the creek on the trail. There arent usually fires anywhere near there, the land is protected.
I spend several nights sitting on my front porch since I first noticed this! Almost every night I notice orange and white orbs dancing above the tree tops. At first I only noticed one… then it became apparent that there is more than one. They glow bright and then dim… sometimes moving slow and sometimes moving fast. The faster it moves.. the brighter it becomes. Last night, around midnight, I heard the distinct sound of a horse one time coming from that general area. This is my first time on this site and when I read that someone believes there is two of them, my mind was blown! The fact I have seen two different orbs in the night sky and it’s not just me that believes there is two of them.. I have tried to capture these occurrences from my house but it happens spontaneously and doesn’t last very long. There is def. Some kind of ghostly activity going on.
I’ve been out there many different times with friends or my wife at the time, sometimes a day or two if not more in a row. Interesting to go through some areas and come back and have them cleared out overnight as if it seemed and then again in more areas as if work here hasn’t ever finished.
have spent a lot of time there both day and night and never once have experienced any kind of haunting there. Its a great place to go but do not go after a heavy rain as much of it floods.
My gf and I live in the neighborhood and like to do our daily walks in this trail. It’s beautiful and peaceful. But we’ve gone at night before and unfortunately we’ve come into some spooky encounters. Usually I’m into all that kinda stuff but we had heard a scream that was so close to where we were it sent her running and had me running as well because I forgot I was driving that night. Anyways, the screams continued they were short but consistent and it sounded like a human but almost animal at the same time. Was very creepy at the time especially because we were sitting down when I had heard what sounded like slow cracking noises coming at us and soon as I stood up that’s when something screamed. Anyways- we haven’t gone at night since.
last night i was at the simpson home, and a civil war soldier, reeking of rot-gut whiskey APPEARED out of no where! so traumatizing. He said he was killed on that property, AND THEY KILLED HIS HORSE (pepper) TOO, truly awful. such a spooky encounter
