The vaudeville venue built in 1913 is the home of a ghostly former manager. He has been seen standing outside the building smoking a cigar. His cigar smoke has been smelled by witnesses as well.

I lived in martinsburg for a few years off and on. And I have witnessed the man outside smoking a cigar. Also I have smelled cigar smoke all the time walking through there so bad that I smelled like it was blowed right in my face. I would like around and never seen anyone around smoking. I never gave any thought to it at the time. Until i read this post. When i did the hairs on my arms where sticking straight up. I never would have thought that it was haunted. My husband as well has witnessed this as well.
Apolo theater is legit haunted!!! If I still had my old phone, where I was scratched I would show. We as in (my mom and I) was on a ghost group investigation, our leader had me and my mom sit in the black section and investigate. All the sudden I looked over to the left of me, and saw a black shadow leaning on the pole, then a few minutes later I was scratched without asking them to touch me. It was a 3 mark line that went down towards my lower back. We also heard the little girls voice and even captured pictures of her. It was a great expierence, and a scary one. But I love to ghost hunt.
I play viola, and was hired by the local theater group to play a couple shows at The Apollo. The first show I did there was Les Miserables. It’s a long show, so sometimes rehearsals would run long. There were a couple times when I would leave rehearsal and pass a cigar smoking man outside, but I thought he was just a tech guy. He did disappear pretty quick when I noticed him, but I thought he was in a hurry so didn’t think anything more about it. Until now. Gives me the shivers lol
