This home was built by a man of Minorcan descent, Charles Segui, in 1910. Previous owners have said that a “playful” ghost inhabits the home – apparently he likes to shuffle jewelry around. If you want the most haunted room, ask for the “Martha Lee” room. (Martha Lee was the daughter of the home’s original owner.) The bed squeaks when no one is in it, and many people report feeling as though unseen hands tuck them into bed at night.

My family and I stayed here a few years ago. We asked to be placed in Martha’s room. That night, we were the only family staying at the B&B. After our first night there, my family woke up the next morning, and each of us had a story to share. My mother said she woke up at one point and saw a giant purple orb floating near the doorway. My dad said that when he rolled over to the “cool” side of the bed, it was warm and indented, like someone had been sitting there. Personally, I woke up around 2am, startled by the sound of doors slamming shut and someone frantically running up the stairs. I asked the owners the next day if they were up that late, and they said no. Finally, my sister says she heard the faint meow of a cat (there is no cat in the building), and at one point, she woke up and felt as though someone was covering her up. Kind of creepy, but nothing overly threatening.
