According to local legend, behind the bowling alley is an upstairs area that was used for illegal gambling in the 1920s. Reports say if you gain access to a room down the hallway, you may hear people talking, dice rolling, and you may even hear a ghostly disembodied voice calling your name. It is unclear from reports whether this area is open to the public; take care not to access private property without permission.

I actually lived in an apartment above this bowling alley in 1996. You can hear the pinsetters upstairs but I never remember hearing anything else. There is 3 separate apartments above the center. 2 of which share an outside entrance that leads to a long hallway. Within the hallway there is 3 doors. 2 of which are the apartments and another that was chained closed and deadbolted. This room sounds like what you are describing. Maybe the noises I was hearing really wasn’t the workers in the back, but in fact what you are speaking of. It is a private entrance, so there is no public access to this area.
Worked there in the back as a mechanic, and I will say.late at night there’s definitely something going on in that area. Plenty of interesting things that are hard to explain happen back there.
I used to bowl there in High School and i have heard my name called and some of my friends have heard their names called when we were together there. The tales about this place are true. Last I knew they covered up the stairway that led to the old Gambling area so now there is not so much activity these days.
