Shadow figures have been seen on and around the abandoned bridge that goes over the train tracks in DePue, Il. The sounds of screams, train whistles, and a train stopping have been heard in the location when the train that runs the track is nowhere near the village. Many people have reported saying that they’ve seen a person jumping from the side of the bridge right over the tracks, but when they look down at the railroad nothing is there. Not much is known about the history of this nameless bridge save for the fact that it leads to another lager bridge that was torn down years ago. The bridge itself is old and decrepit with age, no longer being safe to cross.

As kids, back in the late 60’s, we crossed the bridge many times both day & night with no paranormal experiences. When did the paranormal activity start?
Wrong bridge. The man jumping was a half mile south.
