The nineteenth-century historic house is haunted by the spirit of Lillian McNulty, who passed away in 1957. In her will, she left instructions for the building to become a library or pioneer museum, which was respected for several decades before the house was once again put on the market. Ever since the place returned to its status as a private residence, residents have reported seeing the apparition of a woman in an old-fashioned dress wandering through the house. Others have seen her gazing out of the kitchen window in the direction of the church she used to attend. It is suspected that a male presence may also haunt the old edifice, as a female visitor once reported seeing a gentleman with a top hat and cane standing at the foot of her bed, who faded away when she tried to speak to him.
