My mother said her grandpa told a story about riding a wagon by the Holt Cemetery. They passed a man walking and noticed that their mule acted up. When they looked behind them to see who he was and nobody was there.
It’s my family cemetery and a lot of old graves are up there. Some are over a hundred years old. There are a lot of baby graves and the singing may be coming from the mother.
My grandmother, Vennie Lee Haywood, told many stories about the cemetary being haunted. She told us about seeing a man with no head jumping down from the big cedar tree and running into the woods.
