Nothing of any repute can be found regarding the alleged haunting of the Holly Ridge railroad tracks. Just a bunch of barely literate nonsense on other ghost sites. But supposedly it is haunted by ” red light” that appears along the tracks.

If it’s raining cloudy and bad weather you can see a light on the track at night. The Legend says there used to be a break man who rode the train and fell off and was decapited. And now they say he wanders in search for his head.
my grandpa and I use to walk this railroad to search for the headless man and one time we encountered him and he said his name was like steve or something like that but all he wants is his head or somone elses and most of the time hes holding an axe and if he gets close enough he will kill u and chop your head off and use it as his own. the way I know this is I have seen him so many times that he talks to me and doesn’t move at me but he just stood there and talked with out a mouth so all u would here is an abeint voice.
HOLLY RIDGE LIGHT
Do not know the reason why, but remenber there was 6 of us in the late 80’s watch the light move about and it seamed to get closer but never that close to expose itself!
We are here in Holly ridge looking to see if we can see the light of the break man who fell off the train and is wondering down the tracks looking for his head!!!
My buddy and I were on pass from Fort Sill, OK in Dec 1979. We stopped at the big General Store in Epps, LA to buy food and drinks.. Both of us thought the store was haunted. We left without purchasing anything.
