Room 21 is reportedly haunted by the ghost of a young girl, possibly Marie Gleises, who died of yellow fever in the 1850s. She apparently appears to young children and speaks to them. Also, it is claimed that the sounds of a woman sobbing can be heard, reportedly her mother crying from grief.
Other claims says the little girl appears in a mirror on the second floor hallway going in and out of room #22. (The hallway mirror has since been removed.)
