The decisive battle in the War of 1812 was fought here, an unnecessary battle in the minds of some, as the war was essentially over. The lives lost were essentially wasted. Do soldiers who died still haunt this ground?

I’m a contractor and work at Chalmette Refinery. Ive worked here lots but never at night and its creepy as hell especially at 3am. l drive a forklift and around 2 am close to the coker by the river I can swear I saw a shadow or siluette of a person running down the levy. I also immediately tried to debunk this myself due to light plants and dark areas and safety glasses not clean but after thinking for a bit…a dark shadow of a person running down the levy is vivid in my mind. idk if I saw a ghost or what. but I keep all lights on the fork lift lit when I’m that area.
If you come to visit this place at night, sit under a tree and listen and you will hear faint voices of men screaming, gun fire and canon fire. i even saw apparitions of soldiers running through the levy. I didn’t believe what I saw at first. I yelled at the soldier and he continued running til he vanished. This place is very peaceful and beautiful, sad shame so many lives were lost here after the war was over. Come visit this place when you can, you will feel a sense of sadness here.
Back in 2016/2017 my friends and I would go sit in the cemetery and communicate through the Ouija board with multiple spirits. We were able to confirm names on tombstones and it was a very intense feeling.
