Several reports claim that an apparition can be seen standing in the shallow marsh to the left of the bridge to Manitou Island (private area). The ghostly figure is said to be a younger female, wearing casual clothing from circa 1920. The figure has yet to be identified.
Others have claimed to have heard screeching and footsteps with no source coming from the parking lot area near the bridge.
