Rockhaven Sanitarium is a refreshing take to the “haunted asylum” location. Unlike other plces where abuse and malpractice was common, Rockhaven was a calm location. The patients here were never viewed as being insane; they were all female, treated with respect, and allowed to recover at their own pace. Likewise, the ghosts here are not aggressive; the psychic energy is just as calm as it was when it was still in use and a bulk of the phantom is just objects appearing and disappearing.

I have lived across the street from Rockhaven Sanitarium for over 22 years. When I was 17, I did my Eagle Scout Project in there, when it was open for business. Now, only the Friends group is occasionally allowed inside to do maintenance yard work. I have also done Tarot Card readings inside the property as a fundraiser during Halloween season. Nothing sinister on the property, but definitely alive, energetically. Memories still make themselves known.
