Formerly a hospital, the 1927 bed and breakfast inn is named after a prize-winning novel written by a famous local author. The place is rumoured to be haunted by a number of spirits, including a playful male presence and a ghostly nurse forever tending to her patients. In the Desert Rose Room, a visitor was once kicked by an invisible foot, and a family staying in the Cadillac Jack Room were told to leave by a man they couldn’t see.
