Similar to the Swan Hotel in Lavenham, a jilted bride took her own life and now haunts here. She’s reportedly seen in her white gown and has a reputation for even scaring employees away. Poltergeist activity is also reported and could very well be related to the burial site that was uncovered or the drowning used to dispose of witches.

I have just spent 2 nights at the swan hotel Stafford. I first stayed in room 204 which faces the front of the hotel. Was quite noisy at night but I felt uncomfortable as if I was being watched. In the morning k asked to be moved so I was then given room 211 at the back of the hotel facing st Mary’s church.
I awoke around 1am as I felt as I was being tucked up in bed and so put on the light then went the bathroom. I assumed I had been dreaming. When I settled back down just as I closed my eyes I felt again being tucked in bed and then felt something cold brush along my cheek and shoulder. I said Thank You. Then nothing and went to sleep sound. I was told on departure about the 2 nice ghosts which visit the rooms along the corridor of room 211 and also the not so nice presence of something in the corridor of 204.
Hi I am writing an article on the Swan.. would you mind if I quote your experience in the piece? The finished article would be in Haunted Magazine..
