A hooded monk is seen, thought to be Abbott Geoffrey; Geoffrey was murdered in 1345 (perhaps he’s the poltergeist also reported in the kitchen). A young woman named Matilda also has a history with this house. She had become pregnant by the master of the house, yet he refused to admit his responsibility. The child was a stillborn, and since then, Matilda has cursed the house saying no children would grow up to live a healthy life; perhaps the curse is true considering the tragedies involving many children from the family who once lived here. Matilda is still seen here; she slams doors, gives off a sense of dread, and will make an effort to scare you out your bedroom. A horseman and a Victorian woman on a bicycle have been seen outside.
