The Golden Fleece Inn

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  The Golden Fleece Inn

Supposedly the most haunted pub in York, guests have seen the spirit of Lady Alice Peckett (wife of the owner), wandering the halls and staircase, as well as moving furniture. Four other ghosts are thought to remain here, including that of Geoff Monroe, a Canadian airman who either jumped or fell to his death in 1945. He is said to awaken sleeping guests with his cold touch and full-body apparition. A man in 17th century clothes is also said to walk the corridors here.

User feedback and comments have also played a valuable role in refining this research resource.
