La Bohème Restaurant Bed and Breakfast

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  La Bohème Restaurant Bed and Breakfast

Legend states that the original owner of the house murdered his wife there and fed her to the furnace, piece by piece. Although there are no historical records to back up this claim, guests and staff at the bed and breakfast report hearing strange noises, as well as objects moving and in one case, a staff member claims she was touched by something in the basement where the furnace used to be.

  1. Hi there! Local from Edmonton who was obsessed with La Boheme growing up, here! It is also reported (and probably rhe creepiest of experiences) that visitors/workers have heard a loud bumping sound coming from the stairwell leading down into the furnace room in the basement. It is said that the sound is of the wife’s head hitting each step as her husband dragged her body down the steps before disposing of her in the furnace. I was lucky enough to be able to have brunch at this restaurant, however I did not experience anything (which doesn’t deter me from believinf it is haunted).

Today, La Boheme is no more, and the business in it’s place is Fox Burgers. I have yet to eat there, but I believe the new owners are slightly remiss to accept or punlicize that they’re a haunted location.
