Queen’s Park in Toronto is said to have an apparition of a female in tattered clothing who hangs from a rope. Screams have been heard as well, and the Legislature Building is said to be haunted by many ghosts. World War I hero and Victoria Cross recipient Charles Rutherford, who died in 1989, is said to be one of them, as well as a lady in white who moans or cries on the third floor. The grand staircase is haunted by floating appritions. Some say a number of the unknown ghosts may be from a mental institution that once stood on this site.
