There are various reports from the former plantation house about the apparitions of two workers who committed suicide on the property. The first is that of a servant woman, who has been known to move objects around and has been seen in the hallways. The second is a shadowy apparition that has been seen hanging from a tree in front of the plantation house… which is now a museum.

My uncle worked at Helemano plantation. He reported a big vase moved through the air with no help of human force and dropped shattering across the floor in a crowded room. The big tree you speak of was a banyan tree and has since been cut down. I used to walk past it and get chicken skin. My uncle would always tell us “this not one place for play”.
