This building has been abandoned for over fifty years, but people driving past still report seeing ghostly lights moving around the upper levels of the building, and hearing strange noises when no one is around.

This place is the Haunted School House every fall. I think it was started by Junior Achievement.
The Guggenheim Institute was a teaching program and part of the Akron Public Schools.
This building is not abandoned. It’s actually very much in use as the Haunted Laboratory and is run in conjunction with the Haunted School House next door that is housed and the old Elizabethtown Elementary. In fact the building is very famous for having one of the only fully operational Tesla coils in it’s basement as well as being listed as ine of the best haunted houses in the country. However, both buildings are in fact considered to be haunted by the staff that work in the haunted houses as well as those who work the events at the Haunted School House when it is rented out as a banquet hall the rest of the year. Employees reported that things have been moved and that they will hear voices or that they will be touched when they are working alone in both buildings. And people have reported lights on different floors in both when the buildings should have been empty. Then again these are haunted houses that tend to hire high school students who are prone to play pranks on each other and to partake of a specific plant on multiple occasions while working. The owners of these two establishments have also been known to embellish their histories in order to play up their specific locations for publicity.
