The University of Minnesota’s McCall Hall, built in 1946, is alleged to be home to spirits who have been heard laughing and stomping their feet in the halls. Doors open or close on their own, often followed by an apparition of an unknown girl. Strange sounds have been reported here as well.

Heard secondhand that one of my classmates was staying in McCall over the summer (circa 2002 or 2003) and was apparently the only one occupying the building at the time. Numerous times he would return after going to the kitchen or shower to find the light switch to his room had flipped off. Happened enough that there was no doubt it wasn’t his imagination. I seem to remember a few people possibly making statements about hearing odd noises, but nothing conclusive. The basement sure was creepy and not many people would sit down there alone.
Might be worth noting that a student hung himself in Skyberg. His roommate found him hanging in the closet area. I can’t remember which room number but it was on the lower level, facing the parking lot, the corner room closest to the lounge.
