At the John Wornall House, built during the 1850s, soldiers’ ghosts have been seen on the balconies and guarding the doors. The farm is very close to the site of the Civil War Battle of Westport, and this house was used as a temporary hospital for the injured men from both the Confederate and Union sides.

There is definitely the presence of a sad, motherly woman….. The loss was something I felt very strongly…. Also maybe a child or two. The imprint of the soldiers and the time as a war hospital is still there. Both my daughter and I felt dizzy, had headaches, tightness in chest and throat and sick to stomach in parlor and dining room.
This exact experience just happened to me there. I was in the parlor and had to leave because I was dizzy, sick to my stomach and had tightness in my chest and arms. I came online to see if anyone else had it. This freaks me out.
