The former Brittany Hill restaurant, now Crystal Rose (a venue for special events), is rumored to be haunted. Witnesses say an embracing ghostly couple can be seen in the tower window. Legend has it that the mansion’s former owner was unfaithful to his wife, and as a result, she jumped to her death from the tower. Distraught, the man then hanged himself in the same tower. Now made up, the ghostly couple apparently resides there for eternity.

Sorry story doesnt add up considering it was just a dirt hill until the Brittany hill restaurant was built my older brother would take me 4 wheeling up there untill construction started in the early to mid 80s
The story is true! Many, many year’s ago, around the 1900’s was a theater with stage dancers of women and men. The male involved had many affairs before his wife took her life. I, was there a long time ago and the inside carries a weird presence at night.
Brittney hill was built from a dirt hill that overlook thought in high school I worked at Britney whole restaurant for 3 1/2 years it was not a house or a mansion prior to being built for fancy restaurant
Joe, this was way before your grand parents were born in the 1900’s. An “EVP” was done and a males voice says, “Get Out”! Several people working there had strange accidents, the one most scariest is a 20 year experience man was cutting wood with a saw and severed 4 fingers losing one. Another was a males up in the tiny tower to get a peek in it, and all the sudden he fell 15 feet down on a platform straight above the men’s room he was injured but survived. A female stated she heard a male, yell Hello and she assumed it was a quest looking for her but when she walked around the facility there was not a male person in the building, at that time.
That place always gave me ugly vibes and the people that I have spoke about above, I was there and seen it all happen so quickly.
Interesting history. Our family owned the property until the 1980’s when Eminent Domain finally took it out of our family’s hands and had us zone it for commercial use. For a long time we had a fence around the place and let people go 4 wheeling until they built the restaurant. Also after contacting and having an in depth conversation with the owner of the property The owner wishes that all postings and all claims of the haunting s please be removed. I have been there several times and conducted several scientific investigations and found nothing of the paranormal to be there. As I stated above the owner wants you to respect his wishes and not go investigate his property.
I worked here and truth is yes it is haunted, but not the story you are telling.
I will tell you the true story.
The owner of Brittany ended up being a big time coke head.
He was having a party in the up stairs. And a man at the party OD.
The police where called .and truth is the place never recovered.
And not long after Brittany closed.
When we would be there at night we would often hear a man calling down from the up stairs.
It see a man in the lobby near the fire place.
What a load of crap….Moved to Thornton in 1970 and the Brittany Hill wasn’t built until the early to mid 1980s. Never was a residential mansion, it was built as a restaurant..as Joe said we used to ride our dirt bikes and 4 wheel the hill. The only thing that is haunting in the area is the growth..
