Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum details the history and culture of the Pikes Peak Region, from Plains and Pueblo Indian artifacts to pop culture. And, it has a ghost. The museum is housed in what was, from 1903 to 1973, the county government and administration building and courthouse. One of the managers was shot here by an employee who thought he had been shorted on his paycheck, and it is his ghost who remains here. In the manager’s former department, security guards say a troubled presence manifests at night, and they try to give the area a wide berth while making their rounds.
