In the 1800s, a girl was raped and murdered in the park. It is believed to be her spirit that caused an eerie blue light to appear, flicker, and vanish over the duck pond.

  1. I have lived in and around the Medford area twice in my life (though not now). I have visited that park more times than I could count, and I have to tell you that I have seen this light many times, even in broad daylight once by the creek, just downstream from the play-ground. My daughter, who was about 4 years old asked me what it was, or I wouldn’t have seen it at all. This happened in the beginning of September of ’94. I am very familiar with this activity, but she is not the only thing I have seen in this park. Want to know more?

  2. Im 14, i live in ashland and ive been to the park countless times, once we went there on a field trip and everyone saw it, i remember taking photos of it on my moms old phone since i wanted to be a photographer and i thought it was a reflection off of a spiderweb flowing over the lake or something like that. I hope to find the photos again

  3. I had seen the blue orb lights before knowing they were associated with a haunting. I remember reading this and being like… there are no artificial lights by the pond?? Haha there’s plenty of spooky eerie creepy haunted vibes here
