At Albright, student lore says the ghost of a girl who committed suicide here makes knocking sounds and opens and closes doors. She was said to be distraught over the fact that her parents found out about her relationship with another woman. In the Courtyard area, some say you can see the apparition of a bady hanging or apparitions of Civil War soldiers. And at Wallace, cold spots, banging and other noises, and poltergeist activity have been reported.

I actually attend Queens University and have since 2012. I’ve seen a woman upstairs in the art building (currently blanking on the name). She didn’t really do anything, just stood there facing trexler. Her expression was blank.
There are also rumors that Belk Residence Hall used to be an orphanage and that there were a few children who died in there. When it was turned into a residence hall, the ghosts stuck around. One of my friends lived there freshman year (oh my god it has such a creepy vibe), and she told me that one night, at about 3 in the morning, she heard footsteps and her door unlatched and creaked open almost halfway. She got up to see if it was one of her friends who lived downstairs, but when she peeked out into the hallway there was no one there. She shut the door and didn’t sleep that night.
wow! that’s scary
How do you fend off ghost? I’m not tryna get dead.
I was housed in that dorm, and was afraid to go in that stairwell. Everytime I did, I had an extreme feeling of unease. A friend was in the room next to the stairwell, and we definitely heard noises from there.
I attended from 85 to 88. I as well as my friends had experiences. The hanging was actually in Long Hall which was for Seniors only. I lived in Albright dorm, which was built later in the 60’s, I believe, and it was not haunted. Belk dorm, which was built on the site of where an orphanage burned, was full of accounts of sounds of children running and laughing in the sealed off attic, stuffed animals and family photos found rearranged or left out as if someone had played with them in locked rooms, etc. I experienced a presence upstairs in Watkins (art) building which was one of the original dormitories. It followed me through several rooms as I searched the stored old desks, chairs, etc. for props to use in a drama production. I was so unnerved that I quickly left empty-handed. A friend sitting switchboard one evening in the main and oldest building, Burwell Parlors, experienced the well-known ghost of one of the former faculty for whom it was named, Anna Burwell. The student was running late closing down to leave when suddenly all the lights on the switchboard lit up at once and the building went dark. She immediately said, “I’m sorry, Anna. I’m leaving now.” The lights came back on, switchboard returned to normal, and the student got out of there.
I went to Queens and I knew the girl in qiestion. It happened in Albright dorm and the girl in question was part of a love triangle with two other girls.
It was an extremely tragic situation.
