  1. I currently work at The Derby. One time, late at night, I was turning a corner. I was completely alone, plus wasn’t near a window or door to cause a draft. Our valet team stores their umbrellas in that corner. It had been closed up and leaning against the door for hours as I walked by it. Then, in this one instance alone at night, the umbrella got pushed and fell down right into the of my feet. It’s almost like George isn’t the only one there because this entity seemed like it wanted to harm me. I have a few others but that one got me good.

  2. I have no personal experience, but once our waiter told us that several employees had seen and/or felt George Woolf in his old apartment that’s upstairs at The Derby. When we left that evening, I accidentally left my jacket on the back of the chair. I went back the next day to get it, and asked the host, “Our waiter last night told us this place is haunted. Was he pulling our legs?” And he replied, totally straight-faced, “No, he wasn’t. It’s really haunted.”
