Fort Abraham Lincoln was built in 1872, and soon after that Lt. Col George Custer built his house. However, he and his wife Libby didn’t get to enjoy it together for long, as the fateful Battle of Little Big Horn that took his life occurred in 1876. Here, witnesses report cold spots, disembodied voices, flashes of entities, doors that open and close by themselves, and lights that turn on and off. General and Mrs. Custer are both believed to linger here in spirit. Mrs. Custer’s apparition has been seen wearing a black mourning dress.
