Built in 1934 as a mausoleum for Lincoln Hulley (the second president of Stetson University) and his wife Eloise. It once housed a carillon called “The Eloise Chimes,” which played daily from 1915 until 2005, when the upper part of the structure was dismantled due to weather damage. The mausoleum remains, and plans are afoot to rebuild the tower to its former glory.
All freshmen at Stetson University are told of the legend of the Hulleys, who locals swear they have seen walking the grounds near their eponymous tower.
