The ghosts of Union soldiers and General Benjamin “The Beast” Butler have been seen on the hall’s steps. Also, during the Bacchus Mardi Gras parade, a fatal stabbing that occurred in 1972 has been known to replay very realistically, as it happened near the Gallier Hall.
