The burned mansion is the centerpiece of a local legend. Many different stories circulate here. Some say the wealthy family who lived here was met with tragedy when the father passed away. The mother went crazy and burned the house. Another tale says robbers broke into the house, and one of the small boys in the family managed to trap the robbers and set the house afire, killing everyone inside, including himself. Other stories say the family was involved in witchcraft, which spawned the name Witches Gate. Folks say the ghost of the two brothers who lived in the family can be seen among the ruins.

Not a very scary place when it’s filled with graffiti now. Basement is pretty creepy but that’s about all.
I stayed the night there with my friends before
Do u live there
Me and a friend stayed there one night for a haunted picnic and had a seance. During his seance and of asking the spirits questions, the video on his phone stopped working and it said “home cannot be located” I have never seen a phone say that nor did his phone have any reason to stop working. It was a cool place but not really creepy. Anyway, we decided to leave after the candles mysteriously went out for no reason. YIKES! lol
PS… We also got to scare some kids before we left LMAO
Ranch owners/brothers Jim (61yo) and Kenneth (70yo) Keith were victims of a robbery in 1975. Jim was shot and died, Kenneth escaped. In 1976, the last of the robbers was arrested and the same day, someone set fire to the house.
Read the story here, including a follow-up/fact correction by one of the lawmen who was on the case.

My grandma was there with a friend and as they sat out the window and feet in the seat her friend got pulled out be the Wich Esme and broke both her legs.
The way in is blocked off. You can barely see the remains of the house from the drive. It’s private property now.
