Reports say this inn will reopen in 2013/2014 as Barren Hill Tavern.
Once known as the “Three Tuns,” the inn dates back to the 18th century when General Lafayette used the building during the American Revolution. There is a ghost of an elderly woman who appears in the upstairs dining room; an old man appears near the kitchen. A young woman who was killed on the property is said to haunt the second floor, and more apparitions have been seen on the grounds.

I actually did an investigation here about 10 years ago. I didn’t see any lady and did find some massively substandard wiring. Any flickering of lights could be easily reproduced. Likewise there were a lot of poorly set doorways and windows due to the building settling. All of which would create strange drafts and odd noises. This and saying I thought the place was more likely a fire hazard did not endear me to management.
Who do you call to get permission to adventure inside for ghost
Hunting
We’re eating brunch here. Waitress set the table in the doing room and walked out. Within a couple minutes all four glasses crashes to the floor. They were not on the edge! They were set in middle of table.
I would love to go ghost hunting here I did some research and it looks like a cool place
Definitely something creepy about this place. I think something was in he ladies restroom on the first floor, right by the staircase. The faucets would turn on and off by themselves. You would hear the door opening but it really didn’t. Felt like you were being watched…. I hated having to go in there.
the place has been completely redone in the last few years and is now the inn at Barren Hill, the old name slipping away, I haven’t had a chance to visit it since.
