Rumor has it that a phantom bloodstain in the foyer returns daily from a Confederate soldier who long ago committed suicide after the stress of learning his wife had been unfaithful with a Yankee soldier. The soldier’s ghost is said to wander the halls at night with a pistol, still looking for his rival.
