The Historic Old Bermuda Inn

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  The Historic Old Bermuda Inn

Believed to be haunted by the home’s original mistress Martha Mesereau whose husband died fighting the Civil War. Legend has it that her restless spirit continues to occupy the former mansion, waiting endlessly for her husband to return to her. People see her in the dining room (which was her former bedroom) and ascending the stairs.

    1. I was at the Old Bermuda Inn the other day for a party and after speaking with a worker they let me go upstairs as I was intrigued by the story of Martha. Upon getting to the top of the stairs I started taking pictures with my iPhone. The first picture I took I felt like I saw something from my peripheral and noted at the time I was curious to go back and look at the picture. I then took about 15 other pictures throughout the upstairs. When I later looked at the pictures the first picture I took was completely white with a slight smudge at corner. All of the other pictures were normal. This is the only time I have ever seen the iPhone take a totally white picture and I could not find anywhere that this happens.
