According to the Crow tribesmen who live in the area, the lake has long been haunted by a moaning ghost. However, the Moaning Man has been seen by many, not just Native Americans. Nearby residents say animals are spooked by the place as well. The Moaning Man is said to be a monster-spirit who rises from the lake, moaning, in search of his next victim. Needless to say, the Crow avoid this area.

Went fishing today at lake desmit and my soon to be wife took a pic of me on the pic is a ghostly fig around my mouth with a faint orb near it and another orb buy my left eye.
