Some EVPs are claimed by the paranormal group that offers occasional tours of the house for interested parties.

The address on this site is incorrect. The actual address of the Ryan house is 623 First Avenue East. It is not the house on the corner but the one that is further back and next door. The house is brick with a huge front porch. Yes footsteps have been caught with no one inside, Intelligent interaction through evp is a constant. Black orbs, cold spots, hearing a trombone played, feelings of being touched, audibly hearing voices of people not present, smelling baking bread and hearing music can also be added to the list. This house has allot of history, and discovery of it’s haunted activity is very recent. It may not be a big house but it’s got allot to offer with it’s intelligent spirits. Just thought I would share some interesting new claims on a couple of our latest tours. So far every overnight investigation has turned up some odd occurrences. Some of these include seeing shadow figures, hearing a.v.p.’s (audible female or child voices), hearing and feeling unexplainable thumps through the floor, hearing audible footsteps, and capturing e.v.p.’s. Even the owners who live there, say they continue to hear footsteps. Their cat also for some reason likes to stop and hang out on the third step on the main stairs. They tell me that the cat behaves as if its getting petted or rubbed by invisible hands.
Hello Brian, I live in Newton and would like to join a tour of the house. I would like to take a skeptical approach to the haunting and attempt to debunk it.
I actually worked for the bed and breakfast (of which this house is a part of) and I hated being in that house. I always cleaned the rooms in this house as fast as I could so I could get out of there. I didn’t feel threatened or anything, just a creepy vibe. Having found out later that the place is thought to be haunted, I am not surprised.
I actually worked in this house when I was 15 and hated more than anything having to go in this house to clean the rooms. Most of the doors in the first floor were closed off and we were told very firmly to never go into any other rooms than the ones upstairs. I was working one day and had to get some bed sheets that I had forgot upstairs and was chased down the stairs by something and heard a mans voice yell “HEY”. I Had go back into the house a few times after that and had some man talking and a lady was standing at the top of the stairs, so needless to say I quit and never went back. I also know that the other house (which was the main house we work at) on the corner is very much haunted as well.
